What do we collect
In general you can browse our site without disclosing any information about yourself. When you submit an enquiry using our contact form we ask for your Name, email address and phone number and details of why you are contacting us.
How do we use your personal information
We will store your information only for our internal business admin use. We do not pass it on to any third party. We do not rent trade or sell your data to others. However your information will be disclosed where we are obliged or permitted by law. Also, if you post or send offensive, inappropriate or objectionable content anywhere on or to our site or otherwise engage in any disruptive behaviour on the site, we can use whatever information that is available to us about you to stop such behaviour. This may involve informing relevant third parties such as your employer, school e-mail/Internet provider and law enforcement agencies about the content and your behaviour.
We will monitor site usage patterns to help us improve our site design.
How do we protect your personal details
We will ensure that all personal information supplied is held securely, in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. All personal details are kept at our business address. They are not held online.
Access to your personal data
You have the right to request a copy of the personal data Helix holds about you and to have any mistakes corrected. Please send requests using our contact us form. We charge £10 for information requests.

alcohol and drugs policy
Helix Industrial Roofing Ltd is committed to meeting industry best practice in complying with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 in respect of Alcohol & Drug misuse in the workplace. We recognize that we have a duty of care to our employees, other trades-people and the general public in ensuring that our operatives are not working whilst under the influence of either drugs or alcohol. We further acknowledge the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 making it an offence to possess, supply, offer to supply or produce controlled drugs without authorisation. It is also an offence for the occupier of premises to permit knowingly the supply of any controlled drugs. We recognize that under the law it is also an offence to "aid and abet" the commission of an offence under the Act.
In pursuit of compliance and to protect our employees and the general public we will implement the following principles:-
- Every employee has a duty of care to their colleagues and the general public by complying with Heath & Safety regulations regarding working under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Any employee found to be endangering their own or the lives of others whilst working under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be removed immediately from site and disciplined accordingly. Repeated occurrences will result in termination of employment.
- Any employee found to be endangering their own or the lives of others whilst driving a company vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be suspended immediately and disciplined accordingly. Repeated occurrences will result in termination of employment.
- Helix Industrial Roofing Limited recognises that alcohol or drugs misuse is an illness and will encourage employees disciplined under the above conditions to seek professional help.
- We regard it as the duty of every employee to follow the usual reporting procedures when they suspect a colleague of operating in contravention of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 by working under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
We would encourage employees to approach their managers when they recognise that they have a problem in order that help might be sought and if possible working conditions adapted to accommodate their illness.
This policy has the support of all directors and managers and applies to all employees and subcontractors working on Helix Industrial Roofing Ltd sites.
This policy will be kept under constant review to evaluate its effectiveness.
